The Sisters from the community of Madhavaram
had been seeing to the pastoral ministry
of the parish since 1983.

We felt that our presence in the parish
will be more effective if we resided there.
Therefore we approached the Archbishop
His Grace Aruldas James, DD and asked his consent.
He was very happy and asked us to proceed with our plans.

 

We found a house
near the bus-stand and the parish in Manali
where it would be convinient for the Sisters and
if we have student Sisters in the future
who can easily travel etc.
So we purchased this house.

On 19th November 2004,
The house was innaugrated by
Sister Renee Quadros,
the provincial superior and
was blessed by
the Auxilery bishop Lawrence Pius.

The people of Manali
expressed great joy and happiness and
assured the Sisters of their full co-operation.

The Sisters in Manali
see to the pastoral needs of the parish.
