Blessing of the New School at Kasidha

On the 6th of April 2010 SJA family in India had the blessing of the new school “The Pre-Primary Block”.

Bishop Most Rev. Felix Toppo was there way before time. Many members of SJA family were present to make the day a meaningful and a pleasant one for them all.

Firstly, Sr. Arul Mary the Provincial cut the ribbon
to officiate the opening and the bishop blessed the school followed by the inauguration mass. There were four priests concelebrating with Bishop.
Sr.Anna Hembrom conducted the choir with very beautiful and meaningful hymns. The choir consisted of our candidates who sang melodiously. After the mass, delicious meal was served to all present.

The whole community of Tengra, Sr. Vincy and Sr. Paulina from Basinda, Sr. Premlatha from the Chinese chapel, Sr. Sibiria from Ranchi, Sr. Pratima from Thirumanthurai community along with her family members (who was on holidays), sisters from the communities of Mosaboni and all their staff of MSB and MBR schools were present for the blessings. Members of SJA family were twenty one in total. Sr.Arul Mary the Provincial wishes sisters Quinita D’Souza, Madhura Xalxo and Mrs. Sigar a fruitful ministry in the new school.

Provincial Sr. Arul sincerely appreciates and thanks sisters in the bungalow community and Jyothi Kiran for their spirit of availability in rendering their services towards the opening of the new school. A very special thanks and gratitude she extends to Srs. Ignatia Minj and Thaddeus for their hard work and support in the opening of the new school. May God bless their untiring contribution.

She also extends her thanks to the General Government for supporting them financially to build this block, the first phase. She thanks the Lord for all His graces and blessings.

On the 2nd of June 2010
Sisters SJA family had the blessing of the new school “The Pre-Primary and Primary Block”.
Rev. Fr. Andrew, the Vicar General of Tuticorin was there to bless the new school.

The function started with Sr. Arul Mary the Provincial was invited to cut the ribbon to officiate the opening and the Vicar General Rev. Fr. Andrew blessed the school followed by the inaugural mass.

There were ten priests concelebrating with
V.G. Mrs. Ladislaus the Choir leader of V.Pattanam parish conducted the choir with very beautiful and inspiring hymns. The choir consisted of the parishioners who sang melodiously.

The celebration was made more meaningful with the inspiring sermon by
Fr. Serosil the youth co-coordinator of Tuticorin diocese.
After the mass, delicious meal was served to all present.

The whole community of Virapandianpatnam, Sr. Alphonsa and Sr. Manju Toppo from Vikkiramangalam, Sr. Geetha and Sr. Lourdes from Chennai, Sr. Gracy and Sr. Veenu from Thirumanthurai were present for the blessings. Sisters of SJA family were twelve in total. The Provincial wishes sisters Josephine, Julie and Leena a fruitful ministry in the new school.

The Provincial sincerely appreciate and thank sisters in the Virapandianpatnam community and Chennai community for their spirit of availability in rendering their services towards the opening of the new school. A very special thanks and gratitude she extends to Sr. Josephine for her hard work and support in the opening of the new school. May God bless her untiring contribution.

Council of Cong - 2010

General Government,
all the Provincials and Bursars were present
in the Council of the Cogregation from Nov 14th to 19th, 2010.

 
Sr. Arul Mary, the Provincial, extends her CONGRATULATIONS and
best wishes to the dear Sisters
Asha Lakra, Jacinta, Kiran Lakra, Pratima Toppo,
Sunita Xalxo and Tarcila Ekka
who made their final commitment on the 10th October 2010 at Mosaboni.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Felix Toppo, SJ, presided over the Eucharist
with 20 con-celebrants.

The candidates lead the celebrants and the Sisters
with a beautiful dance to the altar.
The Sisters came in with their little lamps lit, accompanied by their parents and placed the lamps on the altar as a symbol of their willingness to commit their entire life to God in the service of their neighbours.

Sr. Francica Soren was the coordinator of the ceremony from the beginning to the end. She did it very well that helped the people to understand what was happening throughout the celebration.

A brief introduction about the congregation and of each sister for the final commitment was read by Sr.Ignatia Minj. Bishop Felix in his introduction spoke about the religious commitment and total surrender of oneself to God.

Sr.Michael (novice Mistress) and musician Mr.Bipin led the novices and the postulants by initiating the liturgy with their melodious singing and inspiring hymns which created a prayerful atmosphere during the Eucharistic celebration.

Srs.Vinnarasi, Arockiam and the Sisters from Myanmar with the help of the candidates decorated the altar, the stage and the surroundings with tremendous artistic skills which captured the attention of all present. The flower vases were beautifully arranged by the sisters from Myanmar.

The Sisters pronounced their vows in front of the congregation present with great confidence and conviction, moving their dear ones into joyful tears. It was indeed bringing their whole lives, hearts and their whole beings to the Divine Master. About twenty seven of us were present. It was a great day for the Congregation and our province in particular to have six Sisters pledging their entire lives to God in the Congregation of the SJA.

Sr.Thaddeus with the help of the staff of the school saw to all arrangements for the function with efficiency. Sr.Ignatia and the community had the most important work of catering and seeing to the needs of all present including the accommodation for the guests. The food was delicious, enjoyed by all present. Every little detail was taken care of to the satisfaction of all.

The Provincial THANKS all the Sisters, specially the communities of Mosaboni, Jyothi Kiran and the novitiate who have put in a lot of hard work to make this day a very meaningful one for all. CONGRATULATIONS to all of you dear Sisters, she deeply appreciates their willingness, availability and the hard work.

Initiation cermony in Ranchi

On the 17th October 2010, at 5.30p.m.
Sisters of St.Joseph of the Apparition had the joy of welcoming
their four Postulants into the novitiate
by their Provincial Sr.Arul Mary
followed by mass with Rev.Fr.Salender Bada S.J. as the main celebrant.

Sisters of SJA family in India assure the novices their prayers and
good wishes.
   
CONGRATULATIONS to Six newly professed Sisters Abha Minj, Anthoniyammal, Basanti Lugun, Elina Murmu, Kirti Kispotta and Sunita Tirkey who made their first profession on the 18th October at Ranchi.

They had the Eucharistic celebration at 6.30 A.M.
presided over by Rt.Rev. Binay Kandulna, Auxiliary Bishiop of Ranchi.

It was a simple but a very beautiful ceremony with our Sisters present from the communities of Tengra, Gadalodhma, Tundtoli, Mosaboni and Basinda.

The novices under the guidance and animation of Sr. Michael sang their heart and soul to the delight of all present.
